Product Advantage
![]() | 1. Trunnion Design for Low Torque & High Differential Pressure Fixed ball supported by upper and lower trunnion bearings reduces operating torque by 60% compared to floating ball valves. Suitable for pressure drop up to 15MPa. Double piston effect (DPE) seats ensure bi-directional sealing even at zero differential pressure. 2. Anti-Static & Fire-Safe Design (API607 / API6D) Built-in anti-static device ensures electrical continuity between ball, stem, and body (tested <10Ω). Certified to API607 (7th edition) and API6D – after 30 minutes fire exposure at 760°C, secondary metal-to-metal seat provides zero visible leakage. 3. Low Fugitive Emission (TA-LUFT & ISO15848-1 B1) Live-loaded stem packing and double sealing rings pass TA-LUFT and ISO15848-1 B1 tests. Methane leakage ≤ 50 ppmv, helium leakage < 10⁻⁶ mbar·L/s. Ideal for VOC control, natural gas, and hazardous chemical applications. |
4. High-Precision Casting & Full Traceability Investment casting with OBLF spectrometer (accuracy 0.001%) for material verification, CNC machining centers (tolerance ≤ ±0.01mm). Each body has a unique heat number; raw material, production, NDE, and testing records traceable for 15+ years. 100% PMI on all pressure-containing parts. 5. SIL3 Functional Safety & Extended Cycle Life TÜV certified to SIL3 (IEC 61508) with PFDavg ≤ 1.0×10⁻⁴. Independent cycle test: >50,000 open-close cycles under rated pressure without leakage (ISO 15848-1). Emergency sealant injection system available for in-line repair. 6. 100% Testing & Global Standard Compliance Every valve undergoes 100% hydrostatic shell test (1.5× rated pressure), 100% high-pressure pneumatic seat test (1.1× rated pressure), 100% PMI, and 100% low-pressure gas seat test (0.6MPa). All test reports signed and traceable. Conforms to ANSI, JIS, DIN, GB, BS, ISO. | ![]() |

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between a trunnion ball valve and a floating ball valve?
A: In a floating ball valve, the ball floats between two seats; sealing relies on line pressure pushing the ball against the downstream seat. In a trunnion ball valve, the ball is fixed by top and bottom trunnions, and seats are spring-loaded. This allows much lower operating torque, higher pressure ratings (up to Class 2500), and larger sizes (up to 48″). LINKV trunnion valves are recommended for pipelines, high-pressure gas, and oil applications.
Q2: What is double piston effect (DPE) seat?
A: DPE means the seat acts as a piston in both upstream and downstream directions. Under pressure from either side, the seat is forced against the ball, providing bi-directional sealing even at zero differential pressure. Our DPE seats are standard on LINKV trunnion ball valves, ensuring zero leakage in both directions.
Q3: What is the maximum pressure and temperature for your trunnion ball valve?
A: Maximum pressure rating is Class 2500 (PN420). Temperature range: -196°C (cryogenic) up to +450°C (high temperature) depending on seat material – PTFE for -29°C~+200°C, PEEK for up to +250°C, graphite seats for up to +450°C. Please consult us for specific combinations.
Q4: Do you provide NACE compliance for sour service?
A: Yes. We can manufacture trunnion ball valves to NACE MR0175 / ISO15156 for sour gas and oil applications with H₂S. Materials, hardness, and heat treatment strictly follow NACE requirements. Please specify when ordering.
Q5: How do you test the low fugitive emission performance?
A: We use a helium mass spectrometer leak detector and methane gas detector per ISO15848-1 B1. Each valve is tested at 1.1× rated pressure and 10,000 thermal cycles. Our record shows leakage consistently ≤ 50 ppmv methane, far below the standard limit of 100 ppmv for Class B1.
Q6: Can you provide a sealant injection system for emergency repair?
A: Yes. Our trunnion ball valves can be equipped with a sealant injection fitting on the body and seat areas. In case of seat damage, sealant can be injected under pressure to temporarily stop leakage without removing the valve from pipeline. This is highly recommended for critical pipelines.
Q7: What is the lead time for a large-diameter trunnion ball valve (e.g., 36″ Class 600)?
A: Standard lead time for DN50-300 (2-12″) is 45-60 days. For DN350-600 (14-24″) it is 60-90 days. For DN650-1200 (26-48″) please contact us for a custom schedule. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV) may add 7-10 days.
