This Class 600 stainless steel gate valve provides bi-directional flow isolation for high-pressure oil and gas, petrochemical, and refinery applications. Manufactured by LINKV Valve, the valve conforms to API 600 and ASME B16.34 design standards, with bolted bonnet construction and outside screw and yoke (OS&Y) design. The full-port design allows for pigging operations and minimizes pressure drop across the pipeline. CF8M stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance for process media including crude oil, natural gas, produced water, and refined petroleum products.
The flexible wedge design reduces seat leakage caused by thermal expansion and pipe stress, providing consistent sealing across the full pressure-temperature range. The rising stem design allows visual indication of valve position without additional position indicators. Stem backseating design allows repacking of the stem packing while the valve is under pressure, reducing downtime for maintenance. The bolted bonnet uses spiral wound gaskets for sealing at high pressures and temperatures. The handwheel operates clockwise to close, per industry standard convention.

This valve series is engineered for use in the following industrial applications:
Upstream oil and gas production wellheads, manifolds, and gathering lines
Midstream pipeline transmission and compressor stations
Refinery process units including crude units, hydrotreaters, and coker units
Petrochemical plants processing hydrocarbons, chemical feedstocks, and process gases
Power generation facilities for high-pressure steam and feedwater systems
Offshore platforms and FPSO facilities requiring corrosion-resistant materials
Cryogenic service with optional extended bonnet for temperatures down to -50°F (-46°C)
Standard temperature range is -20°F to 800°F (-29°C to 427°C) with graphite packing. Optional NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliant materials are available for sour service applications containing H2S.
Each valve undergoes mandatory testing prior to shipment per API 598 test standards:
Hydrostatic shell test at 1.5 × rated working pressure
Hydrostatic seat test at 1.1 × rated working pressure for both directions
Pneumatic low-pressure seat test at 80 psig
Backseat test at hydrostatic test pressure
Visual inspection and dimensional verification per quality control procedures
Available certifications and documentation include:
API 600 Monogram certification
API 607 7th Edition Fire Safe certification
NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 sour service compliance
ISO 15848-1 Class BH low fugitive emissions certification
EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 material test reports
ABS, DNV, BV, or Lloyds Register marine approvals
Proper installation per ASME B16.34 and manufacturer guidelines is required for optimal performance. The valve should be stored in a clean, dry environment prior to installation with end protectors in place. Periodic inspection and cycling of the valve is recommended for valves that remain in one position for extended periods. Stem packing should be inspected annually and adjusted or replaced as needed. Standard spare parts kits include packing sets, bonnet gaskets, and stem nuts for routine maintenance.
When submitting inquiries for enterprise procurement, please include the following specifications:
Valve size, pressure class, and end connection type
Body and trim material specifications
Flange facing requirements (RF, RTJ)
Operating conditions including media, temperature, and pressure
Special material requirements including NACE compliance
Actuation requirements (manual, gear, bevel gear, electric, hydraulic)
Required certifications and inspection documentation
Special testing or documentation requirements
Gear operators are standard for valves 10 inch and larger. Bevel gear operators are available for sizes 6 inch and larger where operating torque or accessibility requires additional mechanical advantage. Custom material configurations including duplex stainless steels, nickel alloys, and special trim options are available for specific project requirements.
Standard valves with graphite packing are suitable for continuous service up to 800°F (427°C). Temperatures above this require special alloy materials and may have reduced pressure ratings.
Gate valves are designed primarily for on-off isolation service. Extended throttling service may cause excessive vibration and wear on the wedge and seat surfaces. Globe valves or ball valves are recommended for throttling applications.
Butt-weld end connections are available as an option to ASME B16.25 standards. Weld end valves are supplied with heat-dissipating compounds applied to seats and packing during welding to prevent seal damage.
